The hard work is over
What a great day! The VBS numbers weren't as good as expected, but according to Roy there were a good number of people that came today that they have been trying to reach out to. He seemed encouraged by the day so we followed suit. We had about 12 kids for VBS, therefore, we combined some classes and the schedule had HUGE amounts of free time! Even with some confusion, our kids proved themselves once again. They improvised well and persevered through the day. After VBS we visited a farm (one of Roy's church members) and had fun talking with him and climbing on his tractor. Later tonight we were rewarded with dinner in our host homes and a relaxing evening. The week has gone extremely well and now we are gearing up for the youth choir concert and our trip to St. Louis. Continue to pray for us!

Day Three...Done
At the close of our longest day, I am extremely grateful for our God and our kids. We hit the ground running at 9 this morning with a short Bible study and youth choir rehearsal. The choir is sounding great together and will sing Sunday morning and Sunday night. Then, in one hour we decorated the whole church (5 rooms, a stage, and a lobby) for VBS. Our kids worked hard together and took a lot of pride in their work. The carnival was a huge success. There were many prospects that came and many of Roy's church members, including him and Jeannine, were very encouraged. The success of the carnival also lifted our expectations for VBS tomorrow. Pray for as we continue to minister tomorrow!

One Day Down
After a fun morning on the road and a great afternoon canvassing the neighborhoods we are now settling in. We officially put a flyer on every house in Madison, NE. Some people had good conversations and most of us got to talk to some children. We went to eat at an Italian buffet that definitely rewarded our 2 and a half hour walking in the hot sun. To quote Alex Sanders, "that probably wasn't a good idea!" We dropped the girls off at their two story house with a basement, we sent half the boys to their house ( the Scorup's), Gary and Becky got in their RV, and me and my crew are in a little camper having a prayer meeting so the AC will work. Tomorrow will be our long day. The choir will rehearse, we'll set up for VBS, we'll prepare for the carnival, eat at the burrito king, and work the carnival. So pray for the carnies tomorrow!
Our Sleeping Quarters
Myself, Caleb and Luke Chapman, and Brandon McCord and our living quarters for the next four nights. Much bonding!
Typical bus ride
A bus full of teenagers can be a quiet ride. The funny thing is when we go to do work how many of them will be "tired!"

This is not normal!
It's 5 am, we just left the church, and I'm already posting. How is God already working on our trip? Well, everyone, yes everyone including BMcCord (first name left out for security reasons), made it to the church before 4:45am and we were on the road by 5. Definitely miracle number one. Here are the names of those on the bus, please pray for us while we have fun! Adults: Mike and Cheryl Giles, Gary and Becky Newport, and myself. Students: Sarah Bruckmeier, Danielle Cueria, Kaitlyn Bruno, Jordan Askew, Alex Sanders, Phoebe O'Connor, Callie Dugard, Kristin Carroll, Caleb and Luke Chapman, Clay Thompson, Matt Phillips, Brandon McCord, and Caleb Ellis.
